En Garde! Squier Classic Vibe Onstage with The Sword!
The Sword is mightier than the pen after all, as it turns out. Case in point: here’s Bryan Richie (right), bassist for Austin, Texas, doom-metal foursome The Sword, wielding his hot-rodded Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass® ’50s with masterful aplomb.
“The rounded body and lighter weight of the Classic Vibe Precision came as quite a luxury during our nightly riff-fest,” Richie eloquently confided to Squier Buzz.
The band hit the road hard in 2008 on the heels of second album Gods of the Earth, released in April 2008, including opening dates for Metallica in Europe and North America. The Sword formed in 2003 and includes Richie, guitarists J.D. Cronise and Kyle Shutt, and drummer Trivett Wingo. Fans first experienced the band’s Sabbath-like old-school metallurgy on 2006 debut album Age of Winters.
