May John 5 Clinics Celebrate Upcoming Squier J5 Telecaster® Guitar 14-date tour to feature Fender University “Shred-ology Professor”

High-fives all around, people—Squier and big bro Fender® are supremely delighted to invite shred-fan guitarists of all levels nationwide to join phenomenally talented Squier/Fender signature guitarist John 5 for a 14-date series of in-store “shred-ology” clinics throughout the West, Midwest and South in May 2009.
At each clinic, the talented mister 5—an official Fender University “faculty” member—will demonstrate his masterful techniques, break down his signature gear, engage in audience Q&A sessions, autograph posters and perform songs from 2008 solo album Requiem.
The clinic tour (see dates and locations below) both accompanies and celebrates the May 2009 release of the new Squier Signature J5 Telecaster guitar (see extremely cool video below), a dark-hued beast of sonic vengeance clad in black, chrome and screaming tone. John 5 is well known among fans as a Telecaster fanatic and collector; his new Squier model joins two Fender signature models introduced in 2004 and 2007.
Having compiled one of the most impressive guitar resumes in modern metal, John 5 needs no introduction to shred fans. In addition to his own acclaimed solo work and in-demand session prowess, his dexterous riffing and deft compositional skills have earned him touring and recording stints with Marilyn Manson and, most recently, Rob Zombie.
