GP Editor’s Pick for Squier Classic Vibe ’50s Telecaster®
Squier’s cool Classic Vibe ’50s Telecaster guitar has earned an “Editors’ Pick” award in the November 2009 issue of Guitar Player magazine.
GP senior editor Art Thompson put the instrument through its paces, ultimately pronouncing it “a very affordable guitar that nails many of the things people love about vintage Teles.”
The pine-body Classic Vibe ’50s Telecaster drew praise for its visual appeal and vintage touches, comfortable neck, solid construction and “amazingly fat” tone with signature twang and bite. Thompson advises GP readers on a budget who seek “Tele magic and then some” to “look no further.”
The best touch, though, is the “Specs” category, which lists several features under “Kudos.” Under “Concerns,” it simply says “None.”
